Fonds consists of transcripts of interviews with Earl Mountbatten, General McNaughton, General Roberts, Brigadier Lett, Brigadier Forbes-West, Lord Lovat, Field Marshal Montgomery, Peter Wright, Cecil Merritt V.C., Goronwy Reece Colonel Labatt, Lieutenant MacMillan, Ross Munro, C.P. Stacey, Colonel Bell, Denny Whitaker, Charlie Page, Walter Skrine, René Painchaud, Admiral Hughes-Hallett, Madame Menage, and Georges Guibon (citizens of Dieppe). In addition, there are notes and transcripts about D-Day, correspondence about Admiral Leonard W. Murray, and research notes and a glossary for Readers Digest's book on World War II.

Fonds also includes a variety of sound recordings about the Second World War. Most are extracts from CBC radio broadcasts of the 1940's, including news items about Canadian army and air force combat in Holland, Belgium and other European locations, items about Dieppe and D-day, wartime conditions in St. John's, Newfoundland, and a narrative account of an air raid on Berlin. Also included is background research on Dieppe and on photographs taken at St. Lambert sur Dives, France and history interviews with French citizens about D-Day, apparently for the CBC television series Horizons, 1942-[ca. 1970].

Ronald, George : George Ronald, public servant and journalist, worked on the Brantford Exposition and the London Free Press before and after the Second World War. He was with the RCNVR 1943-45. He was the story editor with the CBC programme Close-Up in 1962. He had previously participated in a CBC programme in December 1958 about the Dieppe Raid. He joined Readers Digest Magazines in 1967 and was later Senior Staff Editor. He retired in 1987.
