Treasury 79 is one of several classes embracing the records of expired commissions preserved by the British Treasury. The National Archives of Canada has acquired selected volumes of T 79 on microfilm (specifically volumes 1-4, 9, 12-13, 25, 28-29 and 73-140). The records are arranged in sub-series, following chronological or alphabetic order, segregated by type of record. The general pattern is claimants' documentation (in no precise order), special agents' reports on claims, proceedings, minute books and reports of the Commissioners. Microfilm reels B-4556 to B-4576.

Textual records (Microform) Included on microfilm reel B-4556 is an "Index to Claimants", which was printed in the Public Record Office's Lists and Indexes, volume XLVI (1921), pp. 104-110. The volume numbers now appearing on the records only irregularly coincide with the bundle numbers attached to each claimant's name in this Index. (90: Open)
