ROLL 1: The first roll captures the work of an Inco research team near Churchill in the Hudson Bay area of Manitoba. It opens with shots of Churchill in winter, and goes on to show aircraft arriving with equipment; men unloading it; stockpiled materials; aerial and ground geographical research; setting up camp; operating a crude test-drilling platform; and Inuit who are posing with furs, etc., before the camera. <7mn 30s>. ROLL 2: The second roll contains most of the above subjects in greater detail, as well as shots of dog teams, a "base camp" being constructed, radio towers, and aerial footage, some of which appears to be of a hydro-electric station near Churchill. <33mn 30s>. ROLL 3: The third roll contains footage of survey aircraft, one of which appears to have crash-landed (CF-EJX) and survey teams conducting tests. <7mn>. ROLL 4: The fourth roll contains a great deal of footage of the local Inuit - with their dog teams, making igloos, talking to the survey crew, etc. Also included in the roll are shots of the crew working in the harsh northern conditions, aircraft, and the town of Churchill. <22mn>

1. Dated from Kodak stock edge code.~2. Information on the original can indicated that the film was "used by H.S. Wingate and J.R. Gordon in talks".~3. Though there is a magnetic stripe on the film, it is unused (see Note 2 above).~4. The footage was shot over many months. There is at least one large jump, from winter to summer.~5. It is assumed, due to similarities in the nature of the footage, that Film Graphics, Inc. was responsible for all the reels listed below, though their labels did not appear on all the original cans.~6. The following appears on the side of the tractor: "Canadian Nickel Co. Ltd., Churchill, Manitoba". This is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Inco Canada, Limited.~7. Some of the reels listed below share footage.
