Depicts the life of the peasants in this colourful land of legend and song. Many of the traditional dances and songs of the people tell the tales of the history of this country, the Castle of Vlad Dracula sets an historic background as we are told the stories of the early Turkish invaders. The streets and houses of Transylvania add a mysterious aura to the setting. Native horn blowers echo the warning of the invading evil spirits throughout the valleys and hillsides. The monasteries of the area present their beautiful Easter songs, as the local inhabitants bring their harvests for blessings. The film presents a view of a country which seems remote in modern times. <25mn> -
