The film examines how these conflicts have been the source of intense friction between the two groups, especially in Brussels where they both reside, and how it has affected their lives. Comments are given by the following people: Manu Ruys, Flemish newspaper editor: Etienne Sepulchre, Walloon business executive; Andre Renard, leader of Walloon dissenters; Etienne Gilson, minister of the Interior: Frans Van Mechelon, Flemish professor; and foreign students at Louvain University. Includes footage of: the seaport of Antwerp; Belgium's industrial cities and international airport; a Catholic demonstration ; political marches; and the Belgium Parliament in session.
