This is the sixth program in a 10-part half-hour series described in the broadcasts as a catalogue devoted to the exploration of the moving image in the last decade. This program features clips of the following productions: There are several excerpts from Part 1 of the 1985 videotape MT. FUJI, by Japanese video artist Ko Nakajema. The production consists largely of images of Mount Fuji, in Japan, which the artist produced by inserting thousands of pictures of the mountain into the memory of a graphics computer. Next is a short excerpt from the 17-minute film JUST TALK, by Toronto film maker Gary McLaren. The film shows people trying to find the clarity and legibility of language. Next is a three-minute excerpt of the 1986 videotape BREATH by Margaret Dragu of Vancouver. The program describes this as a video that employs flesh, fur and green silk in an investigation of the diaphragm. The video shows the rhythmic breathing of reclining people and cats. This is followed by a four-minute excerpt from the 1987 videotape MY MOTHER IS A DANGEROUS WOMAN, on the relationship of a mother and her daughter. The tape is by Toronto video art producer b.h. Yael. The concluding excerpt is from a 1986 film by David Rimmer entitled AS SEEN ON TV. The end of this clip is not recorded. <30mn>
