The story uses three clerks to illustrate both good and bad examples of sales technique. Two of the women ignore customers, gossip, come to work tired and are short-tempered and rude with customers. The third, Fran, is always polite, knows her merchandise, is helpful and doesn't push too much. She received a promotion. In the final third of the film, earlier scenes are re-played, with customers offering their opinions of the clerks in voice-over.Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
