Hayward, Richard, 1874-1961 : Bandmaster and composer born in London, England, who moved to Toronto, Ontario, in 1921. In Toronto he was music director of the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada and professor of wind instruments at the Toronto Conservatory of Music. He composed overtures, rhapsodies and suites for band which were published by Schirmer and Boosey & Hawkes.
