The collection consists of two series, The Mercantile Trust Company of Canada Limited, and the National Trust Company, Limited (Hamilton Branch). Both series are primarily made up of accounting records including: a bond register, investment registers, real estate ledgers, etc.

Brown, David, 1935-1998 : David Brown (1935-1998) was a Hamilton, Ontario secondary school teacher and heritage collector. His eclectic interests were primarily focused on the Hamilton area and Southern Ontario. The heritage portions of his estste have been disbursed to numerous repositories in southern Ontario.
