The second part of a documentary film on India, the social conditions and attitudes of this densely populated part of the world are explored. Blair Fraser visits and talks to many different people: Lloyd Grandi, a Montreal engineer working in the Kundah Dam; two twelve-year-old workers at the dam site; a follower of spiritual leaders Vinoba Bhave, Brahma Nand; Indian leader, Jayprakash Laravan; and a woman Raj Kumani Kaur, one of India's elder statesmen. Footage includes scenes of extreme poverty and poor living conditions; women fetching water from the village well and making dung cakes for fuel; children in school classrooms; and religious leader Vinoba Bhave walking through the crowds and appealing for donations of land for the poor.
