This drama looks at the dramatic consequences of trading on insider information, in this case investment tips transferred by telepathy. Doug follows the day's trading activity, watching the electronic ticker tape from his office. He congratulates his business partner, his father, when a risky speculative deal pays off. His father turns to leave and collapses without warning. At the hospital, Doug finds out that his father has taken a stroke. His father's paralysis is devastating for Doug, who tells his wife Laura that he cannot run the business without his father. Doug places his father in a nursing home to convalesce. Doug's son, Ben, is heartsick about his grandfather's condition and spends every free moment with him. Worried that Ben is becoming withdrawn, Laura asks Doug to spend more time with Ben and encourage Ben to start seeing his friends again. Ben is not interested in his father's suggestion, insisting that he is happiest when he is with his grandfather.~Ben tells his dad that "Grandpa tells me things. He tells me about the stock market". Doug plays along, kidding Ben, not believing him. He continues teasing until Ben announces, "Grandpa says R and S Resources". Lacking his father's investment savvy, Doug makes costly mistakes. He wonders if Ben has the inside information that Doug needs. <30mn>
