The Correspondence series includes material from constituents, Members of Parliament, federal cabinet ministers as well as high ranking departmental staff and individuals from across Canada and around the world. These files contain incoming and outgoing correspondence; clippings; Robinson's and staff's working notes; select constituency case files; invitations; information sheets and packages distributed by government departments; and situation and information reports submitted by various private and business organizations.

The content relates to constituents as well as people from across Canada and around the world. Issues include human rights; same-sex marriage and benefits; animal welfare; the environment; right-to-die legislation; the United States terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001; GST; Canadian Human Rights Act; gun controls; Meech Lake Accord; the Gulf War; RCMP uniforms and abortion.

The copies of the outgoing correspondence to these letters are sometimes standardized responses but often the responses are unique and reflect Robinson's opinions and thoughts on the issues being discussed.

This series is arranged mostly chronologically by year. Robinson's office tended to change how the correspondence was arranged on a regular basis, and this is reflected from year to year throughout the series.
