Proclamation appointing the 18th of September 1875 as the day on which the Act to establish a Supreme Court, and a Court of Exchequer for the Dominion of Canada Shall Come into force as respects the appointment of Judges, Registrar, Clerks and Servants of the said Courts, the organization thereof, and the making of General rules and orders under the seventy ninth section of the said Act on a day to be appointed by Proclamation under Order of the Governor in Council.

The proclamation is dated and has been signed on September 17th, 1875 and has been recorded on October 8th, 1875 in Registrar General office. The proclamation is signed by the Administrator of Canada, Sir William O'Grady Haly, substituting for Governor General Lord Dufferin, by the Secretary of State of Canada, Richard William Scott, and by the Attorney General of Canada, Edward Blake.
