This accession is comprised of records created and or maintained by the Anna Wyman Dance Theatre and the Anna Wyman School of Dance Arts, and dating from 1967 to ca. 2016. Includes: photographs of Anna Wyman and of dance company members; of performances of various original choreographies from 1973 to the late 1990s; of Canadian and international tours notably in Austria (Graz), Belgium, China, and Syria; of students, galas, and special events of the Anna Wyman School of Dance Arts. Several photographs are by well recognized Canadian and international photographers (notably Andrew Oxenham, David Cooper, Alan Katowitz; Rodney Polden, Kim Steele, Ross Willows, Jerry Davidson, Michel Plamondon). Also contains audiovisual and sound recordings of performances, rehearsals, galas, and other events, of Canadian and international tours, and of interviews relating to the Anna Wyman Dance Theatre, in addition to promotional materials such as programs, flyers, posters (notably some illustrated by artist Jack Shadbolt), press clippings, press binders, scrapbooks, and a few audiovisual recordings. There are also honours, certificates and awards that Anna Wyman received during her lifetime (several are framed) as well as a small quantity of choreographic and personal notes written by Wyman, and a few family photos.
