Kaplan, Ruth : Ruth Kaplan (Montreal) 1955 -) is a Canadian documentary photographer, living in Toronto. She has been practicing photography since the mid 1970s, when she completed photographic degrees at both Concordia University and Ryerson. Her work is found in the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts, the National Gallery of Canada, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, and many other institutions. Her work has been published in Border Crossings, CV Photo, Geist, The Globe and Mail, The Guardian, and The Toronto Star, amongst others. She received international attention for her Bathers project, in which she documented people attending public baths and spas, in North America and Europe.
