He is given authority to break speed limits if he must, but is asked not to if possible.~The film follows the rider through various incidents: his being challenged by a sentry o a bridge with anti-tank obstacles near London; a detour around a street closed because of an unexploded bomb, where he has to ask a postwoman the way; requisitioning petrol from an army lorry; having lunch in a village south of Carlisle; asking a boy the way in Gretna; having a puncture; asking a policeman the way in Glasgow; and arriving at the waiting Naval cutter just before the Brigadier, stating "I needn't have hurried after all". <8mn>Language:EnglishDetailed holdings information: -
