Part two of a three-part television series of historical dramatic essays on the American Revolution, particularly on the concerted efforts of the thirteen colonies to get Quebec to join their revolutionary cause. With host and narrator, John T. Saywell, this episode focuses on the policy of support for the British, adopted by the French-Canadian clergy; the French habitants' neutrality and reluctance to become involved in the war; and the seizing of Ticonderoga, Crown Point, Ft. Chambly, and Ft. Saint-Jean under the commandment of General Montgomery, which led to the occupation of Montreal. Appearing in the major roles are: Mavor Moore as Thomas Walker, pro-Revolutionary Montreal fur merchant; William Needles as George Washington; Ivor Barry as Governor Carleton; Lise LaSalle as Angéline, Walker's French-Canadian maid; and Paul Hebert as Seigneur de Bercy. <30mn>
