This sub-series (formerly sub-series F IV) is largely made up of copy negatives and prints, and contains views of water and land transportation including steam sailing vessels, tugs, dredges, and cranes in harbours with no locations indicated, but most arranged alphabetically by name of vessel, and includes items from Toronto Harbour Commission and Quebec Harbour Commission as well as some U.S. Navy cruisers and other government vessels. Some marine views with locations noted include Slave River, 1913; St. Lawrence River, 1925; Lake Memphremagog (Canada Steamship Lines ships), 1931; "Pont de Glace entre Quebec et Levis" (Livernois?); "Lancement du City of Kingston and Empress of France".
There are also views of American and Canadian steam and electric locomotives and train cars of Hydro-electric Power Commission of Ontario; Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo Railway; Central Vermont; Canadian Pacific; Canadian National; Lake Shore and Michigan South; Delaware, Lackawanna & Western; New York Central Lines; Lehigh Valley; Central Railroad of New Jersey; Pennsylvania; Grand Trunk; Boston & Albany; Chicago & North Western; Rutland; Northern Electric Railway; National de Mexico railway; also copies of manuscript pages of specifications and drawings of locomotives from Canadian Locomotive Company Ltd., Kingston, Ontario; a few specialized and private coaches and autos including a Model T. Ford on a railway track, "Superb Minstrels" coach, Vaughn Construction Company coach; steam locomotives and train scenes, labelled "Field Service Photographs, Railway Age, Copy Service Dept." (scenes located in the United States and intended for publication in the magazine ?); shots of interior of workshop of Preston Car & Coach Company, of Brooks Locomotive Works, and of Poughkeepsie Locomotive Engine Manufactory; also engines designed by Eugene Beggs and portraits of Beggs family and others; and ca. 30 electric cars with a few identified as Peterborough Radial Railway, Quebec Power Company 1937, and International Railway Company by Niagara Parks Commission, 1932.
Additionally there are unidentified landscape scenes, buildings, interiors, and people, in the Pictorialist Salon tradition, by "Darby" ?; scenes with automobiles, ca. 1919-20; ca. 100 miscellaneous views, including about 15 of ship launchings possibly by Livernois; unidentified trucks, autos, and biplanes; 5 views of aerial sealing at Botwood, Newfoundland 1921, by Holloway; horse drawn and other vehicles; construction and street views; also copies of documents such as posters, timetables, advertisements, maps, charts, sketches, and engravings.
