This sub-series (formerly sub-series B III) contains images by photographers such as J.B. Livernois, Holloway Studios, Ira Beckstead, probably L.A. Hirtle, J.W. Bald, and anonymous photographers and is comprised of the following views: Wireless experiments of Guglielmo Marconi, St. John's, Newfoundland; Tercentenary celebrations, Penetanguishene, Ontario, 1921; street scenes, parades, fires, funerals, visits of dignitaries and exterior views of buildings in and around the following places: St. John's, Newfoundland; Quebec City, Quebec; Iroquois/Morrisburg, Toronto, Hamilton, Port Dalhousie, Midland, Collingwood, Port McNicoll, Cobalt, Haileybury, New Liskeard, Timmins, Cochrane, Bruce Mines, Rainy River, Elk Lake, and Smiths Falls, Ontario. Portraits of various unidentified residents of Lunenberg, Nova Scotia, and Iroquois, Ontario are also included in this sub-series.
The remainder of the sub-series contains views of various modes of transportation (and various locations and activities associated with the type of transportation) in Canada and the United States including freighters, passenger ships, tugs, dredges, harbour craft, ferries, sealing vessels, and schooners using the following ports: St. John's, Newfoundland; Lunenburg, Nova Scotia; Quebec City and Montreal, Quebec; Kingston, Toronto, Hamilton, Midland, and Collingwood, Ontario. Also associated with water transportation are images of shipbuilding, ship launching, ship repairs and dry dock activity at the port in Lauzon, Quebec, and the port in Midland, Ontario, as well as views of ships using the Lachine, Rideau, Trent and Welland Canals and the construction of the H.E.P.C. Chippewa-Queenston Power Canal, Ontario.
