Homburger, Walter, 1924- : German-born administrator and impresario Walter Homburger came to Canada in 1940 and subsequently founded the International Artists Concert Agency. He presented concerts featuring renowned artists such as Vladimir Horowitz, Andrés Segovia, Joan Sutherland and Duke Ellington. He also became the first manager of Canadian artists including Donald Bell, Glenn Gould and Louis Lortie. From 1962 to 1987, he was also the first managing director of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
