As Pickford's public relations man, Larkin often came between the star and her public. He remembers their first encounter, his decision to work for her, her marriages to Owen Moore and Douglas Fairbanks and the formation of United Artists with Pickford, Fairbanks, Charlie Chaplin and D.W. Griffith. In this recording Larkin also recalls her war effort and the appearances he arranged for her. How she became "America's Sweetheart" is described. The interview concludes with a description of "Pickfair", the home of Fairbanks and Pickford, and its faithful "retainers".Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
