Film intended to familiarize recruits with the 111th Battalion of Galt: military ceremonies; training activities; leading officers; relations with family, church and townspeople; Machine Gun Selection; military camp and its facilities; comraderie and fun-making; military skills. Special focus is placed on: the Presentation of the Colors to the 111th Battalion; Lieutenant Colonel Clarke, and Mayor Edwards of the Galt Town Council discussing the camp question; the military funeral of Pte. Irvine; Sir Sam Hughes, Minister of the Militia, reviewing troops at Carling Heights, London, Ontario.
