This sub-sub-series highlights the negotiations between the US and the USSR over the disarmament of part of their nuclear arsenal. In this sub-sub-series we see the active role that Allan J. MacEachen played in the organization of the testing of US cruise missiles on Canadian soil. We also see how Harris Fricker provided background information to MacEachen. It is also interesting to note that there is a file especially dedicated to negotiations between the USSR and members of NATO over the deployment of Soviet Intermediate-Range Nuclear weapons and US Nuclear weapons in Western Europe.
