Oral history interview of Art W. Leggett, philatelist, postal historian and stamp dealer, by Cimon Morin. Born in 1916, Art Leggett discusses his family background and his early interests in stamp collecting, where along with friends they formed a stamp club and met at a tree house on Saturday mornings. He talks about his interest in postal history and his first significant collection of stamps, which was solely Canadian in nature; winning his first gold medal for exhibiting the Large Queens collection at Interphil in 1976, held in Philadelphia, USA and a vermeil medal at the San Francisco exhibition; his Maple Leaves and Numerals collection; and finally his Cents (1859s) collection. He discusses his interests in being a dealer and talks about his friendships with stamp dealers and collectors.
