This film illustrates recommended methods and techniques for welding the high-nickel alloys produced by Henry Wiggin & Company Limited. The film covers such topics as joint cleaning, tacking and clamping, the use of flux and filler, regulation of electric current, and torch manipulation for a number of processes - oxy-acetylene welding, inert-gas tungsten-arc welding, automatic tungsten-arc welding, inert-gas metal-arc welding, resistance welding (by spot, stitch, and seam), flash-butt welding, submerged arc welding,and electron beam welding. The final sequence treats experimental welding processes which may prove useful in the welding of nickel - friction welding, ultrasonic spot welding, and laser welding. <24mn>
