This sub-series includes material that was managed by the Honourable David Collenette's ministerial office between 1980 and 1984. These documents reflect his positions as a federal Member of Parliament; Parliamentary Secretary to the Postmaster General; Parliamentary Secretary to the President of the Privy Council and Minister of State for Multiculturalism. The series is comprised of correspondence from individuals, members of parliament, associations, businesses and groups from across Canada as well as his constituents. This material documents the day-to-day political events both nationally and internationally as well as the concerns and needs of people from across Canada. The files contain a significant amount of minister-to-minister correspondence.
