File consists of the products of an oral history interview conducted with the Rt. Honourable Stephen Harper in 2021. The subjects discussed are Harper's relationships with other world leaders; a January 2009 call with newly inaugurated President Obama to discuss the auto sector bailout; President Obama's first visit to Canada; comparisons of presidents Obama and Bush; Canada and India as G20 economic panel co-chairs; advocacy for the G8/G7; increasing free trade; cancelling EU summits until trade negotiations happen; trade deals with various countries including Jordan; visits to India and China; the system of responsible government that exists in Canada; and comparing the Canadian and American systems of government. File includes audio and audiovisual versions of the interview, as well as a transcription produced by Durham Reporting & Mediation Services.
