The sub-series consists of 7 photographs taken during the 1995 Quebec Referendum, which took place on October 30th. The material includes 3 photographs from the Unity Rally held in Montreal on 27 October, 1995: one of Paul Szabo wearing pro-Canada clothing, a photo of the crowd, and a second photo of the crowd holding an oversized Canadian Flag. Other photos include Liberal Party of Canada members watching the results on TV, a photo of the TV showing the results of the voting, Paul Szabo with Prime Minister Jean Chretien, and a pamphlet for the "No" side.

The 1995 Referendum was the second referendum to ask Quebecers if the Province should proclaim sovereignty and become an independent country. The proposal was rejected by voters, with the final results being 50.58% voting "No" and just under 49.42% "Yes".
