Collection search - The grave of Sir Richard Collinson, Perivale Cemetary, Perivale, on the outskirts of West London

This grave is a family one; it contains or commemorates many members of the Collinson family. The inscription realating to Sir Richard is on the pedestal beneath the anchor, and is as follows: "In grateful memory of Admiral Sir Richard Collinson, K.C.B. Deputy Master of Trinity House. Died 12th Sept., 1883. Erected by his brothers and sisters." On one side is writtem " China 1842" and on the other "Arctic 1850-1855." "Then are they glad they are at rest and so He bringeth them unto the haven where they would be." He died at the "Haven", Haven Green, Ealing, West London. The house has either been pulled down and its place taken by modern flats or has been renamed.
