This reproduction of a painting by artist Michael Swanson depicts the flight of the Avro CF-105 Arrow RL-206 which has never happened. The RL-206 was the sixth prototype aircraft to be built. He was ready to fly when the government of John Diffenbaker canceled the Arrow project in 1959 and ordered the destruction of prototypes and plans of these aircraft.

This document has been unframed in 2010. A textual document describing the artist and his work was removed from the back of the frame and is now preserved with the artwork. It is dated "March 04 03" and signed by the artist.
