This series consists of albums and loose photographs documenting various engineering and construction activities that Macreadie supervised. These projects were primarily for the Canadian Pacific Railway, and included work on the Lethbridge Viaduct, considered at the time when completed one of the highest bridges of its type in the world. Many of the photographs show remarkable details of railway bridge construction work in the early 20th century as well as details relating to the engineering work on the Connaught Tunnel, another engineering marvel.

More specifically, the photograph albums are as follows:

Album showing engineering activities on the Toronto to Sudbury railway line near Parry Sound 1904-1906 and of grade improvements 1903-1907 near Kenora.

Album showing construction work for the CPR of the high level viaduct over the Red Deer River near Lethbridge, Alberta, 1909

Album showing construction work for the CPR of a bridge over the South Saskatchewan River near Empress, Alberta. Progress work documented on a monthly and sometimes more frequent basis, from October 1913 to October 1914.

Album showing construction work on bridge near Outlook, Saskatchewan, 1910-1912.

Additional loose photographs documenting engineering work relating to the construction of the Connaught Tunnel, 1915-1916, as well as other bridges in Saskatchewan and Alberta such as the Peace River bridge and a bridge near Outlook, Saskatchewan.
