This series consists of colour giclée photographic prints, digital photographs (PDFs), and digital textual records (PDFs), from Leslie Hossack's project Registered: The Japanese Canadian Experience During World War Two.
In the project Hossack documents buildings in and around Vancouver that were sites for the seizing of property and internment of Japanese Canadians (most Canadian born citizens) following the Canadian declaration of war on Japan in 1941. The project documents sites like Vancouver City Hall where Japanese Canadians were forced to register as enemy aliens, businesses which were seized by the government and never returned to their Japanese-Canadian owners, and the barns used by the RCMP to contain the detainees before they were relocated to internment camps for the remainder of the war.

The series also includes of a digital (PDF) version of the book Registered: The Japanese Canadian Experience During World War Two.
