General note:

Accession consists of records of the Office of Science and Technology (OST) of the Department of Industry, Trade and Commerce (ITC), as well as the predecessor Office of the Industrial Research Adviser (IRA) in the Department of Industry.

Records include correspondence on Centres for Advanced Technology and the proceedings of the Interdepartmental Committee, Defence Export Development. This accession covers meeting numbers 77 through until 87.

Records are filed according to a registry system used by DOI in the 1960s. When DOI was succeeded by ITC in April 1969, it continued to using the DOI registry until around 1973.
