Sub-sub-series consists of various unassembled components of the briefing books the Issues Management unit provided to the Prime Minister for use as a reference during Question Period in the House of Commons (formally "Oral Questions"). Included within the sub-sub-series are issue-specific reference cards, question and answer (Q&A) sheets, and tables of contents. The reference cards were produced in advance of Question Period in both English and French and provide one or more "key messages" in the form of short statements responsive to the subject issue (e.g. "We have brought forward a positive plan to help Canadians deal with the turbulent global economy"). The cards often contain other supporting information in the form of "Proof Points" (supporting evidence and points of fact), quotes, or examples. The tables of contents, arranged separately, consist of one-page lists that coincide with House of Commons sitting days and enumerate "Issues of the Day" (e.g., "1 - Carbon Tax, 2. Jobs & Economy"). The lists would have prefaced the completed briefing books. The cards and tables of contents found in this sub-sub-series span the years 2012-2015. The question and answer sheets, dated between 23 October and 10 December 2013, consist of hypothetical questions and suggested responsive points pertaining specifically to the Senate (Duffy expenses) and Quebec (multiple issues).
