Digital records received in the following file format(s): PDF, DOC, MP4, WMA, HTM, RTF, XLSX, and DOCX (5.49 GB).

The documents contained in this sub-series were originally interfiled with curated collections of recorded television news segments (local and regional news broadcasts by television networks such as Global, CTV, CBC, NTV, SRC, and TVA); recordings of radio news reports; and scanned or transcribed newspaper extracts. These were typically assembled daily but were also, on occasion, collected in connection with special projects or events (e.g., targeting specific localities, the G8-G20 meetings, Prime Ministerial trips, or as part of system (FTP) testing). These recordings and extracts were removed during archival processing because they consisted of copyrighted third-party material that had been widely and publicly disseminated.

Archivists relied on several data sources to establish dates of creation. These include the available metadata date fields (content created date, creation date, last modified date, etc.), dates found within digital record titles, and dates found within containing folders.
