This sub-sub series consists of the Office of the Prime Minister's (PMO) side of the WebCIMS database system. The PMO used the WebCIMS database primarily to track incoming correspondence.

The database consists of 1 XSD file and 118 XML files. Each XML file contains correspondence for a month of Stephen J. Harper's tenure as prime minister. In addition to the database, this sub-sub-series also includes 50,220 attachments. The attachments consist of both scanned and born-digital correspondence. The Prime Minister's Office Correspondence team (PMO-PMC) received correspondence that was personal and political (P&P) in nature or of special interest to the Prime Minister.

Arrangement note:

Archivists have retained the original order of the WebCIMS database to ensure that records referenced in the XML can be connected to their related "attachments".
Attachments associated with each database entry are arranged into numbered folder structures following the WebCIMS file classification system. Some attachments may contain computer generated naming conventions created by the PCO unit that responded to the item.

File paths to the attachment folders provide an intellectual and physical link between the database entries and the related attachments.

Dates of creation note:

The PMO WebCIMS content contains various dates related to the management of the correspondence. Archivists relied on the date range for the attachments received and not for the entirety of the database, which covers correspondence dating from 2003 to 2015.
