An interview with John Willison Green, son of Howard Green, and former editor and publisher of the Agassiz-Harrison Advance. John Green gives the family's perspective on his father's career, talks about Howard Green's younger years, and provides family anecdotes. Conversation also touches on Green and W.A.C. Bennett's early connections in British Columbia, provincial issues in British Columbia, Howard Green's relationship with Diefenbaker and his views on other politicians, the Avro Arrow controversy, and the removal of the Japanese from Canada'a west coast after Pearl Harbour. <133mn>

1. This interview is part of a series of twenty-three interviews conducted by Eric Bergbusch (he referred to them as The Green Project), between 1998 and 2005, during research for a planned biography of Howard Charles Green.~2. Side B of tape 1 is the continuation of the interview, not the beginning as the label indicates.~"3. A note on the case liner of tape 2:Side One contains some interference but is clearer towards the end. Side Two is indecipherable and of no consequence except for the thanks at the end.The content of the second side is indeed difficult to hear, but is only 3 minutes in length, and only Eric Bergbusch speaking."
