The fonds consists of a memoir written by Ollie Borg.

In the memoir, he discusses the various jobs he had in adolescence and adulthood (picking tobacco, truck driver, crane operator, mining, construction, welding, vehicle mechanics, etc.). He also discusses his childhood growing up on a subsistence farm (cooking on wood stove, making clothes, fire wood, preserving fruit, farming, repairing buildings), life in rural northern Ontario and his personal life (marriage, children, etc.).

Borg, Ollie : Ollie Borg was born in northern Ontario in 1930. His parents immigrated from Sweden in the late 1920s and settled in northern Ontario where they operated a family farm. As an adult, Ollie Borg worked and lived in various places (Ryland, Hearst, Hornepayne, Manitou Falls, St. Thomas, Peterborough, Ottawa, etc.).
