Description:

Documentary, including re-enactments, concerning the 1759 Battle of Quebec and the personality of the two commanders in chief, Montcalm and Wolfe. During two months, Montcalm and Quebec city resisted the English bombardments. However, in what the documentary describes as a well planned operation during the night of September 12th, Wolfe got 4000 men and two cannons up L’Anse-au-Foulon cliff to the Plains of Abraham. Montcalm, who has never commanded an army before obtaining his post in New France, then choses to leave the city and fight in a lined battle against a much better trained army. <71mn 10s>
