Summer is the time for outdoor entertaining. A patio party can be simple and informal or as elegant as you like. Planning ahead for a party is always a good idea - it saves any last minute confusion. It gives a busy mother chance to prepare a few odds and ends between children, or the working woman time to do things ahead before she rushed home from a job. First of all you have to decide on the menu, think as well how the food will be served - whether it be stand up, sit down or carry-your-own-tray. A nice idea for an outdoor buffest cafe-style is to set up a number of card tables. Your guests ca help themselves at the buffet table and then sit down to enjoy their dinner. Here's an idea to complete your budget table. Get a large tray and put out an assortment of all the fresh vegetables that you can think of as an example you might use carrot slices, mushrooms, celery circles, onion rings, cauliflower, green pepper pieces, tomato wedges and in another bowl put a contracting assortment of greens. Add a few bowls of dressing and dips to the whole scene and let your guests toss together their favourite salad. have a nice outdoor party this summer. Keep it simple, plan ahead and you'll have fun too. <1mn 32s>
