He talks about his childhood home in Northen Manitoba (as well presenting a bit of Canadian geography), Canada's Native communities, his writing as a playwright, his struggle to publish and sell, the struggle to promote his plays. Tomson Highway plays excerpts on the piano of his musical cabaret "Rose". Highway continues to explain the inspiration behind his novel "Kiss of the Fur Queen". Highway reads an excerpt from his novel.
