This sub-sub-series spans the period of time from the early days of Allan J. MacEachen's first Ministry, Labour, nearly to end of tenure as the Minister of Finance in 1982. This sub-sub-series is by no means a comprehensive record, but is rather a small selection of files, files perhaps left over from other selection processes, files that do not belong in the two other sub-sub-series and material that generally predates his appointment as Minister of Finance in 1980. Included are datebooks from the late-1970s, early files on elections and campaign expenses and on Nova Scotia and House of Commons matters.
