This sub-series consists of mechanical drawings created or compiled by the engineering department of the Prairie Region, primarily for locations in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia, and for Sioux Lookout in Ontario. Some of these drawings are likely copies from the earlier Grand Trunk Pacific Railway engineering department. The drawings are of diverse types of projects, for: dams, pipelines, sewers, manholes, motors, and pumps.

There are also drawings for pumping stations, roundhouses and terminal yards.

There are also a few miscellaneous topographical maps.
