Photos taken at Kahnawake during the Mohawk Resistance at Oka (also known as the Siege of Kanehsatà:ke or the Oka Crisis), likely in early September. Most photos are of Kahnawake community members sorting food supply. Due to blockades, access to supermarkets and routine food delivery to the community's hospital and businesses were severely restricted. A food bank was set up, and networks of people worked daily, and under dangerous conditions, to supply food. Donations came from supporters outside of the community.
