This sub-series was arranged by the archivist, bringing together materials relating to the Northern Pipeline controversy in Canada during the late-1970s. In essence, this controversy represented a significant issue for the Trudeau government at this time, and the archivist has decided to emphasize this fact by highlighting these records. The sub-series appears to be organized largely on the basis of chronology.
