This sub-series consists of writings about George Grant that Sheila Grant accumulated or were sent to her for her interest, comment, or in thanks (a few of these were written while he was still alive). These range from copies of books and theses, to journal articles, conferences on Grant, student papers, and clippings. For most of the books and theses, the files just hold copies of the final product, but those for Harris Athanasiadis include his revised drafts of the thesis and his correspondence with Sheila Grant, who often assisted and advised these scholars. Correspondence also accompanies many of the files related to articles and conference sessions about Grant. There are files here for Dennis Lee's article, Grant's Impasse, and for those of Indian scholars Ved Prakash Verma and Arati Barua, both of whom compared his ideas with those of Gandhi. In addition, there are records of conferences, symposia, and courses dedicated to the study of his ideas, including "The Legacy of Lament for a Nation" (Ottawa 1989), "George Grant and the Future of Canada" (Calgary 1990), and the "Colloquium on the Thought of George Grant" (Savannah 1999). There are also records of the International George Grant Society and a proposal for an unrealized documentary film about him by Prakash Younger.
