Department of National DefenceDescription:Art Eggros participated in an oral history interview conducted by Dr. John MacFarlane for the Directorate of History and Heritage's History of Aboriginal Peoples in the Canadian Military project. The interview was conducted on 09/07/2001 in Vancouver, BC. The interview begins with Eggros recalling his early years and his motivation for joining the Canadian Military. He joined the Army in 1952. He briefly describes his training and combat experience, his time with the American Army, and his return to Canada in 1980.
