This file consists of 40 architectural plans, showing various details of the Bay City Terminal Railway passenger depot in Bay City, Michigan, designed by the architect A.G. Nosworthy of the Grand Trunk Railway. Included are elevation plans, interior and exterior details such stonework, sills, and roof, and details (in colour) for tiling and wainscotting.

It appears as if this station was never built. However, curiously, another station in nearby Ionia, Michigan is in a similar design, and was built a couple years previously and is still standing.

Note that the plans are located in the following four volumes:

Nosworthy, Alfred George, 1883-1969 : A.G. Nosworthy was born in St. John's, Newfoundland on 12 February 1883. He studied architecture and engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston, and after graduating from MIT he moved to Montreal to take up the post of assistant architect with the Grand Trunk Railway offices there. It appears he was assistant architect with Grand Trunk from about 1908-1915.

He relocated to Quebec City before 1915 and opened an office under his own name in early 1916. In June 1917 he was invited to form a partnership with Wilfrid Lacroix, but their collaboration was brief, and their firm was dissolved in 1919. Nosworthy then moved to Montreal and opened an office under his own name as 'architect and industrial engineer' (Canadian Engineer [ Montreal], xxxvii, 18 Dec. 1919, 554). His practise included residential and commercial works, and in June 1927 he formed a new partnership with Morrie E. Coshof (C.R., xli, 8 June 1927, 580; Const., xx, July 1927, 231). This too appears to have been short lived; by 1928 Nosworthy was again working independently, designing apartment blocks in an eclectic Tudor Revival style. No references to his work after 1952 have been found.
