Accession consists of records created or maintained by the Office of the Senior Assistant Deputy Minister (SADM) for Finance and Programs. Areas reporting to this SADM include those responsible for policy development, internal administrative services, as well as the Office of Science and Technology and the Office of Design. Records in this accession were created largely while the position of SADM was held by Guy (G.A.) Lavigueur. Upon vacating this role in early 1977, Lavigueur became the president of the Federal Business Development Bank.
