Series contains a certain number of records about or collected by Albert Millaire's father: one scrapbook of press clippings for the years [1897-1905] (with five drawings); one article about the first players of the Canadiens de Montréal; photographs of hockey and Lacrosse teams in the Lachine and Montreal, Québec [1903-1910].

General note:

In 1909, Albert (Émilien) Millaire sr. and his brother Édouard sign a player's contract with the newly established Les Canadiens de Montréal hockey team. However he will en up playing with The National hockey team, rival of Les Canadiens at that time. In 1910, he will participate in the first training session of the second season of Les Canadiens, alongside Newsy Lalonde, Eugène Payan and Ed Décarie, but will never participate in any of the league's games. His brother will remain three seasons as a substitute player.

Native of Ville Lasalle, Emilien (Albert) Millaire, son of a tavern owner on St-Laurent street in Montreal, marries Laura Rollet (the Millaire family's nanny) after the death of his first wife. The couple will give birth to Albert (Rodolphe) Millaire in 1935. Albert Millaire junior is only eleven months old when Albert Millaire senior dies in a traffic accident.
